Are you an Emerging Leader?
The rapid growth of commercial launch is reshaping the space landscape.
But the truth is, the space industry has mostly been for just a few people.
If we don't bring in new ideas and fresh talent, we won't be able to get past the limits we're facing today.
The IAI Emerging Leaders program will help you connect with and influence established and innovative pioneers from around the world.
As an Emerging Leader you will contribute to creating and advancing equitable access and opportunity for all in the business of space.
From the arts to the sciences, the IAI Emerging Leaders program provides your gateway to becoming a part of something bigger – a community driving equitable access to space.
The IAI Emerging Leaders Program has three tracks.
1.
Online Satellite Events
Participate from home at our virtual gatherings and enjoy:
Insightful sessions with space industry experts.
An introductory networking platform.
A chance to learn and engage from anywhere in the world.
2.
In-Person Satellite Events
Elevate your engagement at our in-person satellite events. These take place in major cities around the globe.
Here, you will:
Enjoy face-to-face networking with industry peers and leaders.
Participate in hands-on workshops and discussions.
Gain deeper insights into the business of space.
Successful applicants will receive fees towards travel, accommodation and per-diems.
3.
Inter Astra Retreat
Participation at the Inter Astra Retreat is the pinnacle of the Emerging Leaders program, offering:
An exclusive invitation to our annual 3-day retreat in Washington DC, USA.
Opportunities to network with business leaders and space legends.
A platform to voice your insights and represent your generation in front of space industry leaders.
If chosen to attend, you may be asked to provide a written report and attend an exit interview within 30 days of the conclusion of the event.
Successful applicants will receive travel, food, and accommodation.
Emerging Leaders under 18, will also receive travel, food, and accommodation for a chaperone.
Your Path to Participation
Application Requirements
To join our ranks of Emerging Leaders, you’ll need to:
Show active interest in the business of space.
Create a 2-minute video demonstrating your passion for space and your vision for the future. You should address your aspirations through one of our five orbits: Humanity, Communication, Business, Diplomacy, and Environment.
Submit an essay (700-1000 words) or examples of your work showcasing alignment with one or more of IAI’s five orbits.
Provide references on request.
Limited Spots, Unlimited Potential
The program has limited availability, and every spot is earned through a competitive application process.
Emerging Leaders Scholarships will represent 20% of Inter Astra Satellite Events and the Inter Astra Retreat.
All applicants must be over the age of 18 years old.
Emerging Leaders are defined as students or leaders from emerging economies.
If you are unable to travel this year and would still like to participate in online events, we welcome your application.
