Inter Astra : Retreat

A Gathering of Leadership for The Business of Space
November 2025 Venue: TBA

  • Convene the next generation of scientists, entrepreneurs, and creatives alongside leading space experts in a unique discussion format.

  • Generate forward-thinking solutions and build new partnerships for the business of space.

  • Connect nontraditional verticals and voices through exploratory dialogue.

  • Foster an inclusive community In Space For Earth

Inter Astra Retreat is a 3-day leadership retreat for the Business of Space.

Each year we bring together new voices and leading experts to open a new chapter for discovery, partnership, and collaboration.

But this isn’t a typical conference: there are no keynote addresses or panels.

In small 10-15 person groups, participants engage in candid, at times provocative dialogue related to the Business of Space, with an aim to generate new solutions.

Words from our Members

High-quality, high-caliber, execs from different walks of life all coming around for the same cause asking, ‘How can we build an equitable future of space together?’

I liked how so many people, groups backgrounds were represented here and how much everybody brought to the table…

[We spoke about] how we can have more hard conversations to build the type of future that we want.
I don’t think it can be done on Zoom.

- Mina Salib | Axiom Space | Space 3

Unbelievably diverse!

“We’re fighting against this notion that space is for the elite.

It’s everyday people who cannot only access space but take part in the research that’s going to space…

At the first Inter Astra, I could tell there was something special. [This is…] one of the most diverse gatherings I’ve ever been to.

What has come together is nothing short of a really delicious meal...“

- Dr. Dorit Donoviel | TRISH | Baylor College of Medicine

Probably the best conference I've been to in my life, and I've been to many.

“I am a specialist neuropsychiatrist, and I treat people with sleep disorders. We do research into various aspects of sleep, including the impact of flying, and changing circadian rhythms. So all of this is relevant to why we were here at the conference.

I never thought I'd be able to interact in such an in-depth way and still understand them. There was a lot of time to discuss.
And the fact that people came from such wide and diverse backgrounds in every element diverse. Both age and professional background.

I'm leaving today knowing that I've actually learned something for once after and made some excellent relationships.

Overall, I'd say probably the best conference I've been to in my life, and I've been to many. I think I think Inter Astra did a fantastic job recruiting all these people into the community.“

- Dr. Irshaad Ebrahim | London Sleep Centre

It opened up my mind to think a lot differently.

“I worked as a foreign affairs officer in the Air Force, and, then I kind of transitioned that into export controls and working, international cooperation efforts for the air force to other countries. Then I transitioned to work in, helping the defense industry transfer their technology to international governments. And that's what I'm doing now for True Anomaly. I'm trying to help their public policy move forward.

I've been so impressed by the diversity of people and the diversity in thought that it opened up my mind to think a lot differently and that the space industry looks a lot different than what I thought it did - the mindset of where it's gonna go from, like, 1, 5, 10, 30 years from now.“

- Valerie Vasquez | True Anomaly

An opportunity to meet people farther along this path than I am.

“There were so many people who were from industry.
But I also met some people who had a background in the military. It was clear how they had made those connections and how they had used 1 to transition into the other.

And it has made it a lot clearer for me to see how I could leverage this, even while I'm in the military, I need to be able to reach out to people who have experience in different areas or just more experience in a certain area that I'm looking at so that I can just know what's going on in the entire space industry.

- Katelyn V | Emerging Leader

We have the critical mass to take something forward.

“There has been some Incredible content in terms of learning and talking to people. The relationships that you've built in the quiet moments between the content, the dinners, the lunches have been, I think, far more valuable in establishing a community that is interested in building an equitable, you know, access to space.

I have been speaking to one of the other delegates here who has by chance also been speaking to the same group in Kenya about supporting, programs.

And, like, neither we nor they could quite figure it out. But I think now that we have this bigger group, all of a sudden there's enough momentum to make that happen. So it's this kind of discovery that actually, we have critical mass to take something forward”.

- Davis Cook | Research Institute For Innovation and Sustainability. Nairobi, Kenya
